In this installment of M&F’s Training Notebook, they take us through the Weighted Hanging Leg Raise, a great exercise to add to your arsenal. In my opinion this exercise is one of the best, if not the best, exercise for your lower abs.

Training Tip:

Don’t just merely “raise” your knees. Bring them a little past waist level to get the full contraction. What helps me is to envision myself curling up like a rolly-polly and then using the muscle-mind connection technique to really make those lower abs work.
