SuperPump 250 (8.5/10)

As Gaspari Nutrition’s most popular product (currently ranked 6th on bodybuilding.com’s top 50), SuperPump 250 is one of the main contenders within the pre-workout supplement arena alongside BSN’s NO-Xplode and Muscletech’s NaNO Vapor. With taglines like “PROMOTES SKIN TEARING MUSCLE PUMPS, ROADMAP VASCULARITY AND EXPLOSIVE WORKOUTS,” it is safe to say it is marketed more towards the bodybuilding community, and rightly so - the effects of SuperPump can provide great benefits for those with aesthetic-oriented goals but can hinder those with other, more athletic goals in mind. In other words it is a great ANAEROBIC pre-workout boost, but a hindering AEROBIC pre-workout debilitation. SuperPump 250 definitely delivers what it claims: a physiological triggering of energy and mental focus coupled with a stimulation of gorging muscle pumps and increased visible vascularity. So for those looking to build muscle it is a great product but for those looking for a boost before a more cardiovascular workout, for example a game of basketball, it can produce undesirable effects as it can easily leave you dehydrated and cramping up before the end of the first quarter.

It comes in a variety of flavors. None of them will take you aback by how great they taste, but for those in the fitness community who know what to expect taste-wise from workout supplements, they will find thatSuperPump is one of the better tasting products; it’s the type that makes you say, “Hm, not so bad. It’s pretty good.” I recommend the Fruit Punch flavor and would advise you to stay away from the Blue Rasberry flavor. It’s not that the Blue Raspberry flavor is absolutely horrible; it’s just that they have other, better flavors. Also, I’ve found that the Refreshing Orange and the Tropical Punch flavors are almost identical.

Overall it is a great product and it can give you that extra energy and focus in the gym to help you get the most out of your anaerobic exercises to help push your sets and reps as far as possible to induce maximal muscle hypertrophy.
